DOS Window question

Crash and Burn

Hi, many moons ago, in the time of a different DOS, I recall being able to
use the function keys to recall previously entered tec (e.g. F3 or up arrow
to recall previous command), I don't seem to be able to do this in the DOS
window, after running "command" on windows XP PRO.

Is there a way to enable this feature??

Guess I didn't check the latest message before I sent this one!!
 
Nothing known so far, it's one of the many "improvements"
in XP that makes it such poor value.
