DOS programs won't go full screen

Kendall

Hello,

I've got a customer that has upgraded. Windows XP Home will not run
his DOS program (IBM Filing Assistant- all text based) full screen.
When I set the properties of the short cut "full screen" mode,
it has a blank (black) area at the bottom of the screen and the
characters are scrunched.
Any cure for this?

Thanks

Kendall

Did the customer also upgrade his monitor? Is he now using an LCD with a
higher fixed resolution?

And, it occurs to me, is the new resolution 1280x1024 - a common one for
large LCDs. The aspect ratio of 5:4 is different from the 4:3 that DOS
programs will expect

Hello,

Sorry it took so long to respond back. I fish on the weekends.
Just like to say thanks to everyone who responded

The Customers monitor is a standard SVGA Monitor running 800X600
The solution Arutnev22 provided worked for the most part.
It maximized the window enough for it to be useable.
