DOS Printing in XP

I have a DOS based Point Of Sale program running on XP
Pro that prints receipts. It prints about half of the
receipt then stalls about 25 to 30 seconds then prints
the rest of the receipt. I've adjusted printer settings
in XP and nothing seeems to fix it. Any ideas?
 
try adjusting printer properties so that you print direct
to the printer rather than spooling the output. Works for
me.
