DOS Games Test

Because some people still like the old dos versions, we tested install and
play.
Castle Wolfen stien, locked system on install.
Heretic, installed but when it came to running it, we recieved NTVDM.exe
has stopped working.
The original Doom, the dos screen went by so fast that we could never
fingure out what the issue is, but it wouldn't install.
You know I try these basic Dos tests because I have clients who won't give
up some old things.
We also tryed a typing Program called Cortez Peters, because the Buisness
dept at the Community College Still uses it.
It's installed, first problem was with the date, didn't like year ending 0?,
has issues creating the data file, but other than that it seemed to work. we
are going to give this another round of tests to see what if anything else
goes wrong with it.

If they really need DOS software then it's probably best to use a full DOS
emulator like DOSBox http://dosbox.sourceforge.net Windows NT and up (2K, XP
Vista) have no native DOS, just a primitive command line which tries to
emulate DOS, but not in anyway designed for games.

As for DOOM, should be using at least id's own Doom 95, or the numerous
other ports to Windows, like jDOOM and so on. The DOS version is just old.
