A game formated for DOS on Vista?

I'll be the first one to claim I'm not tech savvy but I was wondering if
anyone new about MS DOS games from the 90's on the vista system. I have an
old game, kknd (a game like command and conquer) which was capable with the
prior systems., it seems not vista though. Every time I attempt to load it,
it gives me a DOS screen and then ask's me to press yes or no. But I can't
respond to the keyboard.

Does anyone know about a download or something I can do to install this.

Thanks.

I'd recommend using the DOS emulator DOSBox http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/.

KKND! Krush Kill N Destroy!

Great game, such zany humor too. Yeah, what Paul said, try DOSBox, it's a
program that emulates DOS in Windows.

There are other ways like Virtual PC 2007 (you can download it for Free from
Microsoft) lets you install any version of DOS. There's an open source DOS
called FreeDOS that you can download online, install into Virtual PC and run
the game that way.

You can do it, it's just gonna take a little work.
