Dos Box Memory

Sam

Hi,
My XP SP2 machine (512Mb) seems very short of memory in its DOS windows. I
get 592748 (from mem.com).
As a result, I have some DOS programs (well one in particular) that dont
run.
I have read in various places that I should get over 600k and certainly my
last PC (also XP SP2) ran these programs with no problem.
I have standard config.nt and autoexec.nt and if I run mem /c I get the
results below.
It looks like I have 'lost' some upper memory but I cannot figure out how or
where it went. Any suggestions as to what I might do?

Is the "lost" memory causing you any problems? If not, I wouldn't worry
about it. I have about 50k more than you mention.
