I have a DOS program running in XP Home. It's a word processor which
indicates what percentage of its available memory is being used with a
particular file.
Problem is, even with a relatively small file the wp says the system is
'low' on memory whereas when its run in Win98 or 95 (multi-boot system)
it shows (with one particular file) 65% memory free (in XP it shows LOW
MEMORY).
My Win9x setups allocate 590KB to a DOS window.
I don't see how to allocate memory to a 'dos window' in XP. Is there a
way? I checked the properties of the window but saw nothing.
Thanks for the help
