Dos application on WINDOWS XP SP2 workstation is slow

Ever since putting sp2 on our client workstations at work, we are very
slow in operation with our DOS based business application (Touchstone
2000). We run a windows 2000 server, but some of the machines that
run the sp2 on the client machines, seem to run our dos app very slow.
Is there a way to fix this? Seems SP2 did something to slow down our
application.
