DOS and Microsoft Document Image...

I'm attempting to use a shared Microsoft Document Image printer to capture
(Net Use LPT3 \\workstation1\MDI) output from a DOS application. So far no
luck. I've tried using various print driver options in the DOS application
(Generic and LaserJet6, etc) in combination with various MDI Print
Processors. The closest I can come to success is using the TEXT print
processor format: I am prompted to enter the file name in the save dialog for
the MDI file, sadly a file of that name never appears.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Paul

you cannot route a textual DOS output to a virtual printer like MDI with a
simple NET USE command.
You may want to have a look at Printfil to do it in GDI mode. More info and
a free trial version is available for download at http://www.printfil.com
