Guys, I asked this question a few days ago... All
responses were to do the upgrade. However, a few folks
expressed some concern. I also spoke with Sony etc and
then elected to do the upgrade. It went well and when it
rebooted the PC, I got a "Virutal memory, Paging..." error
message and thereon the computer kept continuously
rebooting (I could not read the message as it only flased
on the screen for a fraction of a second). In any case,
the final result was to restore the computer back to the
original config... went to bed at 5am!!! So, my advise is
don't do the upgrade, even though when you load up XP Pro,
Upgrade is the recommended option - THANK YOU MS!
In anycase, I have gone back to XP Home. It would appear
that the Sony does not have a XP Pro load for their
utilities such as Gigapocket etc.
