Don't have XP style in display properties

I have a laptop that use Classic style on but I have lost the ability to
switch to XP style in the Appearance tab of display properties. Have tried a
patch from Kellys Korner but it did nothing. Does anyone know of a fix for
this and why it happened . I did have it when the PC was new, 9 months ago.
XP Home SP1 Original install Dell OEM
1.8Ghz CPU

That doesn't cut it. I can change the start menu to XP style but I can not
change to Windows Xp in the Appearence tab "Windows and Buttons" option. Is
there a fix for this.

I downloaded it and ran it but I still do not have Windows XP in the
"Windows and Buttons" drop down.

Ok I looked at your links and I had the theme service set to manual and did
not have "Use visual style" checked.
