Don't download from mail server rule?

Using Outlook 2003, is there any way to set up a rule so that mail from a
particular e-mail address is NOT downloaded from a POP server? Thanks.

Not within Outlook. But if you set a rule within your web based mailbox to
move it to another folder, then Outlook won't see the message and can't
download it either.

Hmm, but then other apps won't be able to see it either, right?

Basically, I have an app that checks for particular e-mails from someone,
but if Outlook sees and downloads them, then this app will miss them. So I
need them to stay on the POP server but without Outlook touching them. Hard
to do, and probably impossible I guess.

Heck, even Outlook Express has a rule to NOT download from the server... why
can't Outlook (rhetorical question).
