I have set up a website in FrontPage and want to include seperate
pages to include information for our customers (if you like host a
page for them without them having to purchase a domain name).

Obviously I can include a seperate page such as

http://www.mydomain.com/customername.htm

but I have seen some companies that do the following with the domain
name.

http://customername.mydomain.com/

Can I do this in FrontPage ?

Many thanks

Alec

Hi Alec,

Not with FP, but with the web server. Contact your ISP / WPP so see if they offer sub domain or machine name webs off your domain.

It is called a "subdomain" and is created on the server, and the host must
set up dns records to point to it.

FrontPage can't create subdomains, but creates subwebs.

Please search this newsgroup for similar posts and you'll see some more
detailed replies.

In any event, you will have to work with your host on this.
