Frontpage 2000+, multiple users editing site with restrictions

Greg Saunders

Hello,

Let's say I have a web site www.mydomain.com. This website is edited in
Frontpage 2000 or above. I have one user, let's call UserA, that uses the
primary user account and password setup by the hosting company. UserA has
full rights to edit anything in the site.

I want to have a second user, let's call UserB, that I want to help in
editing the site, but I only want that user editing under certain folders
like www.mydomain.com/service .

Is this doable with Frontpage?
If so I know there may be a limitation with the hosting provider, but for
now I just want to know for sure if it can be done with Frontpage and how.

Thanks

Yes, but you will need to talk to your host regarding this.

Yes, but you will need to talk to your host regarding this.

I am finding most hosts want allow anything more than the one user
account... unless they have a custom built control panel.

Correct it does depend on the what the web host offers, but if you can do this, it should be a
subweb.
