Domain\Workgroup

I have a server (windows 2003 enterprise) running on our development computer
in regression testing, and we have a windows xp workstation elsewere that
needs to be registered in active directory and in the domain but it needs to
be able to logon using the local accounts with the welcome screen - any ideas

If the computer is in a domain you cannot logon using the local accounts with
the welcome screen. you have to take the computer off the domain. then go to
Control Panel - User Account - Change the way users log on or off and click
Use the Welcome Screen checkbox. Sorry but this is by design

ok, so my next question can i manage \ access resources on a workgroup and
can the workgroup access the domain resources if they have a domain password?.
