Domain & Workgroup on laptop

R

Russ Sion

I connect at work to a domain on my laptop running xp pro, but have
just set up a home network using a workgroup - all well so far... but
now cannot access any of my emails as I guess linked to my domain
access (I could use outlook fine offline as everything synchronised)
which I have lost when I changed to workgroup in control panel\system.

1. How can I see my domain profile from the workgroup setting?
2. Is it possible login to my domain setup without reconnecting to the
work server?

All help appreciated

I have the same problem, it seems. See my message from
philippejm after yours.I KNOW there is a file you can
execute on XP CD, because I did it with my previous laptop
and it worked. Same user profile on NT and at home
(workgroup), no need to change the profile, keep the same
bookmarks, desktop parameters, start menu and so on.
Unfortunately, I didn't note the name of the file. I cannot
contact the guy who gave me this trick. I asked on two
different newsgroups. No answer at the moment. I have to
manage two profiles. Please if you get some information,
think to me. I'll do the same ! I noted your mail.
