Domain & workgroup login with same ID

Users login to the 2000 Active Directory domain. Users in one departmen
then connect to a non-domain (workgroup) server using the same use
name as their domain account but a different password. It may or ma
not accept their login.

You can eventually get their login accepted on the workgroup server b
deleting then recreating their account. Or deleting the domain profil
from their workstation and then recreating it. or...

My question: is the login to the workgroup server that I described i
the first paragraph a supported operation

Not sure what you mean by "login to the workgroup server" - there's no such
thing across the network, it's just a member server and can't authenticate
users. I presume you're logging people into the domain and want them to
access resources that are shared on a member server? Just set up the
security properly on the share(s) for the domain users/groups who should
access them....
