I am on a Windows 2000 domain with approx. 50 machines that all use Windows XP Pro. I am wondering if anyone knows of a way to keep the profile settings (IE favorites, desktop icons, etc.) whether the user logs in to the domain or locally. We have users with laptops who would like their settings to carryover from when they are at work logged into the domain to when they go home and login locally. I would like a method that performs this locally without needing to connect to the domain through VPN etc

Thank you

Copy the users domain profile to their local profile... or
the other way around depending on which profile you want.
If no local profile is there yet copy the domain users
profile to the default user profile.
