A remote user has managed to change his notebook from domain to workgroup,
after the reboot he couldn't login of course with his domain account,
(e-mail address removed).

He can't login with any credentials, administrator/no pass. etc....

what should we do?

By changing the computer from the domain to a workgroup, the user
destroyed the trust between the domain and the machine. In doing so, he
also rendered his domain login credentials as invalid.

You'll need to physically connect the laptop to the domain network,
you'll need to have administrative privileges to the workstation, and
you'll need to have sufficient privileges on the domain. Then you can
add the machine back on to the domain, after having first deleted the
computer's old domain account (unless he's also renamed the computer).

Bruce,

I have full admin permissions on the domain.

Once the notebook is physically connected to the domain/network. How then
should I login?
If (e-mail address removed) doesn't work anymore and he can't log in using
administrator, how am I supposed to add the machine back into the domain? I
have already removed the computer account from ADUAC.

Thanks!
