This is not possible in Windows 2000, but is in Windows 2003 with some
catches. Typically a rename is not necessary for any functionality though.
Is there a particular resaon you want to do this? There may be a way around
it.
We are installing a new server running Windows 2003 Server that will have a
different domain name. We want to migrate AD over and then have the old
server become a domain controller on the new domain.
