Hi All

I have been experienceing some wierdness on my DC in the past 2days. When I try opening my MMC, I get an error
"The Domain Controller for Group Policy Operations is not available. You may cancel this operation or retry using one of the following domain controller choices
Default Selection - The one with the operations master token for the OPDC emulato
Greyed out Selection - The one used by the Active Directory snap-in
Selectable - Use any available doman controlle

When I can th eoperation, the MMC opens and when I make changes in my MMC and try saving it, I get an error "The Snap-in below failed to save, Group Policy

I'm at a loss for where to start trouble shooting. Everything worked fine until 2 days ago. Any pointers as to resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

First step is to check the PDC master's event logs for errors and warnings.
Also, ensure network connectivity between the PDC and other DCs -if this is
the case the next place to look is DNS.

Post back any errors on the PDC and the machine you're encountering these
problems on.

Have you changed any IP settings, or disabled any services over the last
couple of days?
