Domain Connection

Does anyone know what domain name should be entered when the connect to a domain box comes up? should you use the full domain eg. MYDOMAIN.CO
or just MYDOMAIN

when selecting user account capable of adding to ther new domain should this be an account from active directory on the server? eg. MYDOMAIN\administrato

or just administrator - local profil

Please help someone i need this domain up and running for the business in 7 days

Might want to pick up some basic AD books for help.
