Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for your network

I work with a domain and a couple hundred computers on that domain. I
recently tried adding another computer to the domain (not out of the
ordinary), and I ran into some problems. When I boot up the computer, it
goes straight into the "Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to log in" screen, and does not
run the domain group policies (such as installing new service packs,
installing domain software, etc). I checked the event viewer, and I get
errors such as "Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for your
computer network." and "This computer was not able to set up a secure session
with a domain controller in domain (mydomain) due to the following: This
may lead to authentication problems. Make sure that this computer is
connected to the network. If the problem persists, please contact your domain
administrator." I only am having this problem during the boot. When I log
into the computer, it loads up the domain accounts with their group policies
just fine. For some reason, it cannot establish a connection with the domain
controller during boot. This is the only computer in the whole domain having
this problem, and I really do not want to have to reformat it just to try
again. Does anybody have a clue what is going on or how to resolve this
problem?
