Please could someone help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a Windows XP Pro machine with 512meg ram, 120gig
HDD.I am experiencing terrible trouble with every
application that I open it takes around 30 seconds and
sometimes even longer than that, I also have broadband
and this also takes forever when surfing the net.

Please could someone point in in the right direction as
to what to do.

Use AdAware6 with updated ref. files to clean out spyware.
Delete temp files, delete temporary internet files, defrag,
restart and I bet it will run faster.

How do I delete temp internet files...without going into
tools --> internet options and deleting from there.

Go to start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools and select Disk Cleanup
