Please could someone help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a Windows XP Pro machine with 512meg ram, 120gig
HDD.I am experiencing terrible trouble with every
application that I open it takes around 30 seconds and
sometimes even longer than that, I also have broadband
and this also takes forever when surfing the net.

Please could someone point in in the right direction as
to what to do.

You more than likely have some spyware on your machine
go to www.lavasoftusa.com , download and install the freeversion , Also
update it before running the scan
You may also need to revert back to a restore point when this was not
happening

check your network settings, if you have your network card on auto negotiate
it maybe a miss negotiation problem. specify the connection type at both
ends to the same type.
