Doesn't work with AKU2

I had no installing it on my PPC 6700 prior to AKU2. I am currently on ROM
2.06

I have a very vanilla config since I just flashed my device. I have 20MB of
both types of memory free on my device during install and 75mb on my storage
card - doesn't matter which location i select it won't install. My guess
this is a bug with Compact Framework and AKU2. Not sure which group I should
notify.

I've downloaded the latest version from
MS at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...6b-356b-4a2c-857c-e62f50ae9a55&DisplayLang=en

And I also tried installing from the cab file
http://www.winmobiletech.com/sekalai....wm.armv4i.cab

Even if I reset my device before install, both fail with an error of 4

I'll start by suggesting that you *only* use redistributables obtained
from Microsoft, not only for support reasons, but also for validity and
security.

I have successfully installed CF2.0 on a number of devices (although not
a PPC-6700) with AKU 2.0, so I'm a bit hesistant (without more data) to
call this a CF/AKU bug.

I'm not sure if you've seen this great post
(http://blogs.msdn.com/netcfteam/archive/2005/10/11/479793.aspx) by the
..NET CF team on the CF2 installation. More pointedly, it notes that the
most likely reason for error ID 4 is "Incompatible device, security
issues on WM 5.0 (installation prohibited by phone carrier)."

This would make me wonder if Sprint has tweaked their security policy
and that is prohibiting installation (just an initial theory).

Have you disabled any extra Today screen plug-ins? Prevented any
start-up applications from starting? Stopped any applications that are
currently running?

You are so correct. I'm quite ashamed. I did install one today screen
thing that didn't cause me problems last time but it did this time.

Thank you for taking care of this issue for me!!
