Does Outlook Rules allow for "OR" logic instead of just "AND"

I would like to set up an Outlook message rule that looks for a key word in
either the subject or the body of the e-mail. Can a rule be changed to have
an OR expression between 2 criteria?

Depends on exactly what you're trying to do, which I couldn't discern from
the post, and the version of Outlook. Worst case is that you just create two
rules.

Hi Sue and thanks for your post.

My intent is that I would prefer to have a rule that looks for a key word,
lets say for example, "customer". If the key word "customer" resides in
either the Subject line or in the body of the message, I would like the
Outlook rule to place this message into a certain folder.

As each rule has its own overhead (and as I am anal and lazy) I would prefer
to have one rule, if possible, to accommodate this. With the Rule Wizard
tool provided in Outlook 2003, the rule is built with a logical "And"
expression if more than one criteria is selected. This requires BOTH/ALL
selected conditions be met. I would like to be able to use a logical "or"
expression which allows for EITHER/ANY selected condition to move the message
to the requested folder.

I have wanted this ability since Outlook 97 but have not had a good source
to pleade my case for the "Request for Enhancement."

I hope this helps explain my needs. Any help is appreciated.

Jay

Could you provide a specific example?

Then use the condition "with specific words in the subject or body". Each
time you enter a string in the "specific words" and click Add that string
will be added with "or" between it and all the other strings.

I don't see that. All my strings within a single rule have "or" between
them. If I enter "customer", click Add, then enter "procurement" and click
Add, I see "procurement or customer" as the Search List.
