Rules confusion

For Rules in both Windows Mail and in Outlook Express, multiple criteria can
be connected by "and" ( all criteria need to be matched for the Rule to be
applied) or by "or" (only one criteria needs to be matched).

I have now installed Outlook 2007 which doesn't seem to give this
flexibility. The "or" option does not appear to be available; the only
choice is "and" where all criteria need to be matched for the Rule to be
applied. I have attempted to solve this by having a separate Rule for each
criteria - but when a message meets more than one criteria I get multiple
copies of the message in the target folder! This seems bizarre because I
assumed that the point of sequencing Rules was that as soon as a message
matched a Rule it would obey that Rule and not proceed to the next Rule.

I am probably doing something wrong - but can anyone help?

you need to add Stop processing to the rules so later rules won't process
the message.

Thank you so much for your v helpful and speedy (and simple) response - it
works - apologies for not noticing that possibility in the Rules options.
However, it's a bit annoying that the straightforward approach adopted for
Windows Mail and Outlook Express isn't also used in Outlook.
It's also frustrating that I haven't found any obvious source of info that
explains the differences between Outlook and the default Microsoft mail
systems.
Anyway - thanks for sorting me out
