Does Outlook 2003 works with Exchange 5.5? Are there any issues?

We have not had the opportunity to upgrade our server to Exchange 2003, but
we do have started to implement the Office 2003. For the second day using the
Outlook 2003, my information store has shut down unexpectedly 3 times. Is
there any issue with Outlook 2003 and Exchange 5.5?

You mean the server went down or you lost the connection? The only real
issue I can think of is that you configured Outlook to use Cached Mode and
waaaaay to many users logged on at the same time and started to cache their
mailbox causing to much traffic on the server. Using Cached Mode is a good
way to reduce network traffic and server load but it causes an additional
load when you start Outlook 2003 for the very first time. This is why you
should deploy Cached Mode in phases.

Actually there is a Hot-fix you need to apply. I can't remember what it is as
it happened to use a year ago. I will look if you can;t find it. But
basically the rules format in 2003 Outlook is 'malformed' for 5.5 and this
can cause the IS to stop unexpectedly.
