does not go to stand by

Hi
I just got DSL and install EnterNet300 and ... do not
compte the numbers of issues that raise.
However my latest is my laptop does not go to sleep once I
have establish a Net liaison. If I restart and go to
sleep right away, no problem but if I go online , stop and
take it to sleep it gives me an error stating that a
driver is preventing the machine from entering standby.
Anyone can help?

Lots of hardware will cause that. On my machine, it is a Microsoft
optical mouse (with MS drivers!)

My fix was to disable every network driver since I could
not uninstall them. Restart the computer, verify if they
are still there, redisable these that came back and
restart the computer and now my computer goes to sleep
