Does Bookshelf Basics (Quickshelf) work under XP?

Hi Installation Experts,

I recently received Windows XP on a new computer after my
old hardware failed. It had a Windows 2000 Pro OS on it
and I have Office 97 Pro.

After installing Office 97 on my new eMachine, with
Windows XP HE, I am unable to access the Bookshelf Basics
Shortcuts on the Office 97 Shortcut Bar. If I go to the
shortcut properties window for any of the shortcuts to
enter a target for Dictionary Contents, for example, the
line where I should be able to place the target path is
grayed out and inaccessible.

Could anyone please tell me if there is a way to continue
using Bookshelf Basics (Quickshelf) under Windows XP?
Please provide enough details so I can activate the
shortcuts.

Thanks in advance.

I use it and it works fine. I don't use that piece of crap called the Office Toolbar as it doesn't fit with windows.
