Does anyone use Trend Micro OfficeScan 6.5?

The Trend Micro OfficeScan Personal Firewall Service, even though it's not
being used, is causing my XP SP2 computers to take between 1-2 extra minutes
to startup. Trend Micro has no good answers. Anyone else have a similar
problem? For now, I'm disabling the PFW service in windows services

You just uninstall the firewall and use windows' firewall.
Or don't use a firewall.
Maybe try to use a hardware firewall.
Buy another suit of firewall if you can support it.
Close your computer and forget about it.

I'm sure you meant well, but telling someone to not use a firewall is
not good advice. XP's firewall is better than nothing, but it isn't
really as complete as third party firewalls. Tony, I've never used the
TrendMicro firewall so I'm sorry I can't comment on it. I use the free
Sygate Personal firewall on my Windows machines and I've been very
happy with it. Here's a link:
