When I open explorer it goes by default to the "document &
settings" folder. How to I change that to any folder?

Try this:
creat a icon to the windows explorer and add at the end of the line
object(in shortcut properties) this" /n,/e,C:\" without quotes when C:\ is
the drive to open (you can put ani drive), and when you click in the icon
explorer will open in the drive C:\ or anione that you writed.
