Document Properties in Quick Parts

M

Murray

I want to display some document properties from my SharePoint Server on my
Word Document. I set up a content type in SharePoint as you are supposed to,
am using the .docx format, and when I go to add the Document Properties to
the document, I cannot because that option is grayed out.

I can almost accomplish what I need to through the use of fields, but the
fields don't automatically update.

So, does anyone know why Document Properties would be grayed out or how to
have fields automatically update when the document opens?

Thanks.

the latter could be achieved with an AutoMacro (not sure if this is
feasible for you in your environment, though). See:
