When I open my saved document in Word 2003 the document map is always
appearing and I do not want to use the document map and do not want it to
appear?

Everything I open in Word is coming up with the document map and I do not
know about macros? Any further help would be really appreciated, thanks.

That was not easy and I would have never figured it out on my own. Thank you
that was awesome information.

After using Word 2003 for years, clicked in the toolbar to open the document
map--and ever since, it opens everytime i open word or open or create a new
document. I tried the suggestions in this post, of setting normal to not have
the document map open (i've used the normal file many times to set defaults)
but in this case it had no effect--every file still appears with the document
map.

I also tried the suggesion in another post in this forum about creating a
macro that would always force Word to open the document map--but set the
arguments fActiveWindow.DocumentMap = False
ActiveWindow.DocumentMap = False
That also didn't work.

What else can i try? Could something have been set in the registry? Would
reinstalling Word solve this?
