Hello,
I am running office XP and I use a program that has reports in it that open
in word but everytime word opens, the document is blank. It says it is six
pages long but my text is not showing up. Any ideas? I have tried to repair
my normal template so I am not htinking it is that anymore. Any help would be
truly appreciated. Please do not tell me to upgrade to a newer version as it
is out of my control. Thanks!

Yes, my apologies, that was the first thing I checked. Neither is the case. I
am thinking it is some kind of vbs/macro problem but I do not want to get too
involved if I do not have to. Thank you.

Just a shot in the dark - try to do a SAVE AS while the doc is open in
word; save it as a plain text file. This might show how much content
is there (along with all of word's control bytes, so it won't be very
readable).

It might be related to page formatting (print outside the borders, etc.)

You say that you have a program 'that has reports in it that open in
word". Do you mean that it produces .doc files that you then open, or
that the program links directly to word? If the former, it may be
producing corrupt documents; if the latter, the linkage mechanism
could be faulty.

Thank you all but I messed around with things enough and finally got it
working. Something was hung up under this specific user profile local
settings so I just cleaned everything up and it worked. Thank you.

For the record, and if others encounter a similar problem in the
future, I'm sure that we're all curious about what specific settings
might have had this effect, or what kind of clean-up was done to fix it.
