Document in Print Layout View

I have a resume (containing tables)that only displays
correctly in Print Layout view. Is there a way to correct
this so that it displays properly in Normal view as well?

No. "Normal view" (which is badly misnamed) is a leftover from the days when
the average computer was too underpowered to show a WYSIWYG view during
editing, so it's optimized to show the text with incomplete formatting and
doesn't show anything from the drawing layer. What's called "Print Layout
view" really should be "Normal" now.

However, tables should appear the same in both views unless you're doing
something unusual. Maybe your tables have been formatted as floating?

How might I tell if it's using floating tables? I may just
send the resume out with a note to open in Print Layout
view if there's no easy way to correct. Thanks for your
help.

If your résumé is saved in Print Layout view, it will open in Print Layout
view *unless* the recipient has Word 2003 and has "Allow starting in Reading
Layout" enabled (aagghh!).
