Does anyone know how to purge the documents folder in the
start menu? In older versions of Windows there was a clear
button. In XP I've only been able to delete files
individually. Don't always want to display recently
accessed files in the document icon from the start menu...

Right click the task bar, select the start menu tab, if you are using the
classic start menu click customise and click the clear button. If you are
using the normal start menu, click customise, click the Advanced tab and at
the bottom you will see the options under Recent documents.

Right click start button, properties, customize, advanced tab, clear list
button.

Or--Right click Start | Properties | Start Menu | Customize | Advanced |
Clear List
