It's now six days since this was listed on eBay with a starting bid of
$190. There have been zero bids. I'm happy to see that there has been
nobody foolish enough to want to spend $190 on this.
Darn. You got my hopes up. I have Windows 1.0 with the box, manual, and
program that I could have sold. The best part is the box, though.

I spent about a day and a half trying to install it a couple years ago. The
first hurdle was finding a version of DOS old enough, and the second was
finding a hard drive small enough.

It didn't get a whole lot better from there.

Here are some of the inside pages of the Windows 1.03 product manual (from
1986):

I remember GEM OS, which came out before any version of Windows. I still
have an original release of it.

I also have an MS-DOS 3.20 User's Reference and Programmer's Reference
manual set. There's stuff in these books I've never found anywhere else.
Some of the so-called "undocumented" command stuff is actually
documented in them, and some of it still applies to current commands.

That's because they didn't say there was an image of the Virgin Mary in
it.
