If i upgrade from 98 to XP Home, do i need to register the product?. also i have no internet connection at home so if i do need to register, is there an option to reg my snail mail?

Yes you do. Do you have an active telephone line? The registration process
connects to its own connection number (toll free).

Sorry but you are wrong. The question was do you have to REGISTER it,
and the answer is that you don't.

You DO have to ACTIVATE it, but that is a separate process to
registration. The former is compulsory and the latter is not.
