Last week I had to do a repair/reinstall of Windows XP Pro. It asked me if I
wanted to register WIndows, but I couldn't get a connection at the time, so I
said no. How can I go back in and register it now? Is it even necessary? I used
the same disk as I used to install XP Pro last year when I built the system.
It's my copy, bought and paid for. I remember registering it when I first
installed it at that time. I don't want the operating system to stop working
because it wasn't registered.
Also, I just received a new laptop today, with Windows XP Home installed as the
O/S. During startup, I was asked to register it, but I didn' have the laptop
hooked to the internet at the time, so I said register later on that one too. So
I guess it's the same question, how do I register now after I declined the first
time? Thanks.
