Do not use Dial UP connection!

Hi

I have a VPN connection that works fine with my modem. However I have an
ADSL connection via a LinkSys WAG54G, as this is a router and ADSL modem it
does not appear in available connections. How do I get my VPN connection to
go via my local LAN and not try to dial up? I am using Win XP SP2 no
Firewall.

You'll need to setup a seperate connection for the ADSL.
Either that or edit the connection for your dial-up to
ask before connecting to the internet. This can be done
through the properties of the VPN connection. Have fun.

Hi

I have a better understanding of the problem now, my Linksys WAG54G is
blocking the VPN traffic. See extract from the handbook:-

.. VPNs that use IPSec and AH (Authentication Header known as protocol 51)
are incompatible with the

Gateway. AH has limitations due to occasional incompatibility with the NAT
standard.

Not sure what I can do really.
