I have the following event being logged on a fresh install of Windows XP
SP1a on a domain workstation. The DC is Windows 2003 Server. I'm slightly
confused by the contents of the event because our internal DNS Server has IP
10.0.0.10, therefore why is it sending an update to 10.1.1.1 ?
Can anyone suggest what needs to be done to resolve this issue ?
Event Information:
The system failed to update and remove host (A) resource records (RRs) for
network adapter
with settings:
Adapter Name : {6024E3A2-9FBB-4CC0-AD83-6BDFE9723B83}
Host Name : workstation01
Primary Domain Suffix : domainName.local
DNS server list :
10.0.0.10
Sent update to server : 10.1.1.1
IP Address(es) :
10.0.0.30
The reason the update request failed was because of a system problem. For
specific error code, see the record data displayed below.
