First eliminate any spyware.
What You Should Know About Spyware

CAUTION!!!!! Removing some spyware can damage the Winsock stact. Before
you try to remove spyware using any of these programs , download a copy of

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

Hi vago :)

You should first follow the suggestion Frank posted and be sure your system
is fully clean of any scumware. If the problem still persists, you might
try the following information and see if it helps:

Internet Explorer could not open the search page - unable to view web pages
http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/answers.htm#dns

Cannot find server - DNS error
Line 68 right hand side.
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
Reboot when done.

also.....

Per Frank Saunders -

Check C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc for a file named HOSTS with no
extension. (Not Hosts.sam)
Make sure Windows is set to show hidden files and folders and is NOT set to
hide extensions for known file types.
If HOSTS exists, rename it to HOSTS.OLD
Reboot an try again.

Or, In a Cmd window, enter
ipconfig /flushdns
then clear your TIF also, and re-boot.

In addition......

Your firewall or others such as Zone Alarm, for example, can
block out sites and their cookies (which some sites require for using their
stuff). SpyBot will block cookies for things as well.

EDIT PART> Adding to #4, some sites NEED you to take their cookies and 3rd
party cookies too... you might want to look @ or OVERRIDE your cookies
policies in 'Internet Options' via Control Panel again & the Privacy tab
too!

IE Restricted Zones via Control Panel> Internet Options> Security
Tab> and clicking on the "Restricted sites" to highlight them and then edit
it
using the SITES button.

Hope this helps :)
