Hi all.

C\winnt\system\shdoclc.dll\dns error has started appearing when i try to get to any web page.

My regular computer at work broke down, so my hard disk has been installed into another computerto tide me over until mine is fixed. The man who was setting it up installed IE5, I had IE6 before the failure, could this be the problem? I also have Norton Internet Securities 2004 installed, could it have anything to do with this error?

I would be grateful for any advice, as i am tearing my hair out in frustration.

Thanks,

Victor

Hi

Are you using any external proxy client software?

Thanks for the reply.

No, i am not using any external proxy client software (or rather i dont think so, as i dont know what that is!)

I think i have found the problem, Norton Internet Security 2004. There was an internal error, i had to uninstall it. I could connect fine when it wasnt running.

I will try to reinstall it again tomorrow.

Thanks

Victor
