DNS problems

I have started having problems DNS problems especially with IE6 and OE6.
The pop server frequently gives error "DNS failure." I have to check
email several times to get it. On opening OE, gives error
"pop-server...could not be found."

IE6 frequently gives "Page not found" error. On many pages, I have to
try the page several times to get there. Some pages, like Google, cannot be
resolved at all.
My DNS translations seems corrupted.

Hi,

Check your HOSTS file. It's a file without extension that does pre-DNS
translations from servernames to IP address. You can edit it in Notepad.
