I have Win 2000 pro workstation loaded up, I am trying to
access the internet via router. I get a dns error with
IE and i cannot ping with either www address or ip
address. I show a network connection with packets sent.
What is the problem?

Can you provide your router brand?
What connection type (ADSL, DSL, Cable, T1, dialup, etc)?
What DNS server are you using? Yours or the ISP?
Do you have AD running?
Firewall or a Proxy or ISA server in place?

Could be an MTU issue, but need to know some more about your config.
