I have installed a sony dru-530A dvd+-rw burner and have
received a message that the DMA is turned off for the
recording device. How do I turn it on? it states that i
should go to windows 2000 operating system manual and find
the answer. ANy Help?
 
Have you tried the device manager?

Right click my computer/manage/device manager.

Double click on your drive to open the properties.

Hope this helps.
 
You enable DMA in Device Manager on the IDE channel that the drive is
attached to.
