DLL error

I am seeking some advice to cure my problem.
IBM Thinkpad win ME
When trying to link to another part of a large web site
I continually get the error message Explorer has caused an error in
WMPDXM.DLL and I cannot proceed, advice to shut down and try again
Any help would be most appreciated
