Is there a way to use distincr ring with Fax Console? This
is required for a phone line with 2 numbers (one for fax
and one for normal calls). Thanks

In this newsgroup, the answer you usually will get is that WinXP does
not support distinctive ring and therefore the only solution is to buy a
3rd-party hardware device that connects to your phone line and
determines which hardware (modem, fax, answering machine, phone, etc)
should get which incoming call.

On the other hand, if you do a Google search for XP distinctive ring,
you will find some possible methods for using distinctive ring with XP
without the additional hardware.
